WOW time is going so fast. I cant believe how cold it got and it has already snowed! And now its been so warm for the last 2 days. Summer I already miss you:(

Corbin is growing so fast, at a 1/2lbs a week. If he keeps this up he will be weighing 20lbs by 7 months!

He is now 6 weeks old and is starting to smile and watch us. He is a constant wiggle worm.
We can't tell what color of eyes he is going to have. They honestly change every day.

Of course we carved pumpkins! Conner wanted to take all the knives and cutting stuff but would not help take all the guts out of the pumpkin, Devin put some on Conner's arm and he froze and sat there scream till we took it off of him. He kept looking at the pumpkin and saying yuke!

Devin's grandparents are home from their mission in the Philippians! YEAH! They got to come home a few weeks early so we were very excited about that. Devin went to the airport and welcomed them home at midnight. Grandpa West brought Conner some cars, planes and a fire truck so he was more than happy and Corbin got to meet the man he was named after

here are some random picture of the boys bonding! Conner is doing pretty well with his little brother. He makes sure I don't forget him and is always putting a little toy on him while he sleeps. His favorite thing to do is do drive bys and steal Corbins bink or see if he can jump over him while I change Corbin's diaper! Its never ending but I love it..most days that is!:)

Amber came to town! And we were able to hang out for the day, it got a little crazy with all the kiddos running around but we just let them run wild so we could visit and get haircuts. I love getting together and catching up.

Conner Being a big help!

We fill so blessed to have another little boy in our home! SO far Conner is adjusting to his brother and is a doing better then we both thought! Corbin is a big eater and only lost 3 ounces off his birth weight and has since put it all back on. He is a healthy and happy little boy. He has already found is hands and constantly is wanting to suck on them! Thanks to everyone that has sent warm wishes, helped with Conner and been here for us!

Where Did the Summer Go?

SO I am clearing all the pictures off my camera and decided to update my blog. Most people update as things happen, but I always seem to update a few months at a time!
At the end of June I had the opportunity to go to Lake Powell with one of my favorite people, Amber! And to think that I was not going to go. Thanks to Devin for making all the arrangements for Conner, getting babysitters and pretty much packing my bags on top of changing the oil in my jeep and all the car stuff plus showing me how to change a tire just in case. He gets so nervous when I travel with out him. I am truly thankful for you and ALL the sweet things you are always doing for me. And a Big thanks to Amber for making me go and enjoy myself on a house boat at Lake Powell with no kid and husband! It was so fun to relax and be selfish! Your right I think I liked it too much I am ready for another girls trip! While we were there we enjoyed staying up way later than I have in years sleeping in well after 10, swimming, sun tanning, eating, snaking and playing card oh and lets not forget to mention the night it rained and we all got soaked, (amber called it glorified camping lol) so I'm not sure how she camps but I don't normally sleep wet when I camp! It was an adventure! Although I looked like the beach whale of the group I had an awesome time. Thanks Everybody for watching Conner and to the Busbies for letting me come on their vacation!

4th of July

Of course we celebrated the 4th of July! Devin's dad always does the Anvil in Taylor and this was his last year. SO we got up at 3 am, went to the fire station road on top of the truck and did the whole Taylor Celebration. I have so many memories growing up of the 4th of July in Taylor. Its not the 4th unless you have done the Anvil. Conner got to light it with the help of Grandpa Wood. Needless to say he was not yet impressed with the big boom! We had a big breakfast at the station and then went back to my moms to sleep! We enjoyed the day bouncing back and forth between families eating BBQ and then watching the fire works. Camping!

We haven't done a lot of camping this year and Devin has let me know! But we did manage a few days at Greens Peak. I love it up there! We had lots of fun riding 4 wheelers, eating, playing card (I still don't get how Clay and Deb always win when Clay doesn't even know how to play!?!) shooting, going for rides and just being lazy. After all isn't that what camping is about? My favorite meal out camping was the ribs. Clay and Devin dug a pit and cooked the ribs with all kinds of seasoning and fresh pineapple and who know what else! They were so good!Conner's favorite Thing.

Kenzies ALL STARS

Kenzie made the all star team again this year and her team did awesome. They took 1st in their district. Then went to Tucson to compete in the state tournament and ended up in 3rd.

We finally made it to the lake this year. You would think with my parents owing a house 10 minutes from the lake we would be there all the time! I WISH! My whole family was able to make it down for a few days. It was Hot and the water was perfect. Devin had fun wake boarding and tubing with Conner. Conner didn't care for the tube at 1st but once he figured his life jacket out he loved it! The boat was his favorite.

Swim Lessons.

We put Conner in pre-school swim lessons this summer! I signed us up for the wrong time. SO for 2 weeks Conner and I were getting up and out the door really early! Conner was the youngest in his class and loved every minute of it! He got a little over confident one day and jumped off the step in 4 foot deep water. I saw him from the side lines but his teacher didn't. Conner was staying above water but not enough to keep air in him! I was about to jump in when the teacher saw him and put him back on the step! He looked terrified but was fine in less then a minute! On his last day he got his cert and a pop cycle. He is now trained to float on his back, kick and blow bubbles! Yeah!

For our summer vacation we took off for over a week and went to CA. Devin's Family came for part of the trip and mine came for the other part. While there we enjoyed the beach, swimming, Disneyland, Knottsbarry Farms, Sea World, Joe's Crab Shake ( 3 weeks later my father in law is still talking about the great food he ate:)!) Conner's 2ND Birthday, a session in the San Diego Temple(it is so beautiful), and enjoying each other! I took over 300 pictures so the slide show is kind of long. Hope everyone is having a great summer so far!

Happy Birthday Conner. For Conner's 2ND Birthday we took him to San Diego. We sent the week on the beach, at Disneyland, Knottsberry Farms and Sea World. He had lots of visitors. The Wood Family came the 1st part of the week and the Hunt Family came the last part of the week. Conner loved all the rides at Disney, knots and Sea World. At the end of each ride he just wanted to stay on, the kid has not fear. He loved giving all the characters hugs and swimming in the the pool. The place that we stayed had a huge koi pool with tones of huge fish, he loved go past the fish and feeding them.

Conner's Favorite things at 2:

Loves dogs, cars, balloons, balls, pushing the stroller around, baths, kids, hot dogs otter pops, he as one speed and its run, run run! Loves to play in the laundry, jump on the tramp, slide, swing and 4 wheeler rides

Favorite things to say:

mom over and over, dad over and over, where going, what doing, Pook, Ball, ahooo, oweee, night night, luv you, bye, there it is.

Favorite movies:

Memorial Day Weekend

Over the Memorial Weekend we had our Hunt Reunion out by Heber it is always fun to see all the family that we hardly see. Conner had a really tuff weekend. Besides his normal falling into everything and getting hurt, he got bit by a dog on his left eye. It looked so bad for a few days but then healed right up. He looks so rough in the pictures! My Uncle Willard also passed away. At his funeral they were telling some story's of Willard and they made me laugh, I have not thought of many of the funny time I have had with Willard in years! We will miss him, but I am grateful for the knowledge that I have and know that he is whole and happy and that we will all be together again.

Grandpa had his 83rd Birthday I love this guy he is seriously amazing!

We went on a 4 wheel ride and it was insane. I think there was like 20 something bikes that went! Conner Loves Loves Loves rides!

Over the past weekend LSFD did their 50 year Celebration. They had their annual chili cook off and this year Devin wanted to do it. SO for the past few weeks he has been thinking and talking about it a lot! He's Grandparents taught him how to make their chili, which is Devin's all time favorite! So the big weekend came (Dev was up several times that night checking things) and he took 3rd! YEAH He is already making plans for next year:) It was a lot of fun Conner got to play outside and do all the fun kid games that they had. They had a "burning house" that the kids got to "put out" once conner figured out the nozzle he kept stilling the hose everyone time the other kids would put it down. Then he'd run over to the prize person and get another toy. I think we over all we put back about 50 toys! LOL it was fun though

Over the weekend we headed to Mesa to Clay's graduation! He graduated on Saturday at Chase field from Grand Canyon University with his Bachelors Degree! We are all very proud of him and the hard work and dedication that he has put into completing it! GOOD JOB GRANDPA!!!!

Here are some pictures of what we have been up to. We had a good Easter, Conner loved coloring the eggs and cracking as many as he could even on his head! Aaden how ever had it all figured out and kept telling Conner not to do that! We got to spend Easter with both families. Clay also celebrated his birthday and had an unforgettable cake:) (sorry no pictures) We took Conner to the park to feed the ducks and just enjoy the warmer weather. Conner thought they were pretty cool and loved how they came to him when her threw the bread. Devin and I decided to give Conner his birthday present several months early since the weather has been so nice...plus Dev wanted it out of his garage! So we set up the tramp and Conner tells me every day MOM JUMP MOM JUMP as he is tugging on the back door! Devin helped out with a school bus safely Assembly, he was Baxter the raccoon. He had fun dancing around on his tail and head and just being funny with all the kids, Conner to thought it was pretty net. We went and watched three different assemblies!

Spring Break

This year for spring break we didn't do much! Due to all the problems the boarders are having we choose not to go to Mexico. I was bumbed! So we took a few days and went to Roosevelt looking for warmer weather. While we were there we played a ton of card, drank way to much jones soda, road 4 wheeler, skipped rocks in the creek and went down to the lake. It was still cold and a little windy so we never made it out on the lake. Conner was watching Devin skip rocks and tried to do it too, poor little guy fell in and soaked the front of himself! After a change of clothes and a sweater he was all smiles again!

So Devin has decided that he thinks it would be fun to be a teacher! This boy has so much ambition. He is always starting or learning something new! I am so thankful that most of his little hobbies and ideas make money! Devin has starting teaching CPR and really enjoys it most of the time! He loves all the people that he gets to meet and the things that he learns from them. Especially the elderly people he thinks there the greatest! Oh Conner! Boys are such a mess! The other night about 9 pm I was brushing my teeth and getting ready for bed. Devin was on Skype talking to his grandparents who are on a mission. Conner of course was bouncing back and forth between what I was doing and what daddy was doing. All of a sudden I hear a ear piercing scream. I finishing brushing my teeth and think to myself... what did he get into now! As I came out of my bedroom I am greeted by blood all over the hall way tile. Needless to say Conner needed stitches! He had fallen from one chair into the leg of another chair and cut is little forehead open. Thank Heaven for great Doctors! Dr. Brady stitched him up in his living room that night. Conner screamed through the whole thing but once we let him up he was fine. He was more concerned about the band aid and strings that he now had on his face! The hardest part was trying to keep him from picking at them!

For Valentines this year Devin suprised me with an early quick trip to Utah. He got me out of Sharing time and working for my mom! Which was nice! (Thanks Sandi! I owe you:)) We stayed with Amber and Glenn and they watched Conner while we went to Salt Lake. We did a session in the Salt Lake Temple, which is beautiful! Then ate lunch at the JS Building. My lunch was so good, Devin's not so much! But the coconut shrimp was amazing! We also took Conner to the Draper Temple open house! All these Temples are so big compared to the Snowflake! Amber and Glenn both got sick so we left early and stayed in Moab, which turned out to be a good thing since we hit storms most of the way home. Thanks Amber and Glenn we sure hope you guys are filling better! And Thanks Devin for planning this last minute get away! for what ever reason this is the only picture I have of the whole weekend! Yes is was COLD!!!!

Its all About Conner

Conner is always into or up to something! He is growing and learning so fast! Some days it's hard to find the energy just to stay up with him. One of his favorite things to do is get up on any counter and dance! They told Devin last week in nursery that they have to hide anything he can climb on, because he always ends up on the counters! Oh man what are we going to do with him? This is pictures of Devin bandaging him up after he crawled up on my make up vanity and burned his leg on the straightener!

Trust me it didn't slow him down a bit;-)

A few weeks ago when we were in Utah Amber gave us all a hair cut! She did such a good job with Conner, I can't believe that he sat so still for her. I guess The Cars Movie will fix anything. Thanks Amber!

OK time for another LONG over due update! Here are picture of Christmas and everything in between. This self portrait of Devin is him leaving to the Rose Bowl game(I think that's what game it was?) he wouldn't take the camera so this is the only picture I have! Hope all is well with everyone, I sure have been enjoying your updates!

I had a great idea to go snow tubing one Saturday. Sheridan and her kids came, Kenz and Dakota, Rayna, Aaron and their kids, Devin, Conner and I. The day started out late but we finally got on our way. We were not really sure were Sky High Retreat was. So Devin turned down this other road and the truck got so stuck. We spent half the day getting it unstuck. Finally we left and took the kids sledding and left Devin waiting for his dad to come and pull us out! All Devin could say is, "it sucks getting pulled out by a ford!" At least his dad got a kick out of it! All in all it was an adventure! Thanks everybody for coming we need to plan another one!

Christmas this year found us all happy and well. We hope everyone else had a great Christmas too. It was so fun on Christmas morning when Conner woke up. I had the video camera trying to stay in front of him but he just barrelled to the front room. Once he say the tree and his presents he just stopped and stared and finally said wooooo! It was the best Christmas yet!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

First off we would just like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We are so luck to have such amazing family and friends. We hope all of you have safe and happy holiday season!

You can never see Santa to many times right? Well we had Santa, aka Grandpa/Papa/Howie/My dad! come up to our house for all the grand kids. It was so much fun, My dad was the perfect Santa he had all of us laughing so hard. Thanks dad your the best! He are some picture of this special occasion.

This is my nephew Terron. He is the oldest grand kid so he got to go first, he is holding a boot thanks to Santa. Santa explained that times are hard right know and that our Country is in a recession. He also told Terron to hold on to hope and that hopefully next year Santa would bring him the other boot.:)

Deighton however was not having anything to do with Santa, until Santa pulled from his magic sack a special treat for him. That calmed him down just long enough to get his goodies and get the heck off his lap!

Conner sat with Santa but wouldn't look at any one! He is at that age were if he can't see you, you can't see him! Wish that worked when you got older! haha

It's starting to look like Christmas... I bundled Conner up in ever pair of long johns he owns and put him in his wind pants! Haha he reminded my of the kid off the Christmas Story, He didn't really care for the snow yet, I think the crunch under his feet threw him off, but it was fun watching him walk around with the look of "what the heck" on his face!

The other day I helped Rayna and Aaron out and watched Aadon ALL DAY! Besides getting peed on, a few little fights and a couple of time outs the boys had a lot of fun together. I even went to the store with them and the both did really good. Afterwards we went to the Fire Dept to see Devin and show Aadon, "the BIG red fire trucks" as he so bluntly put it all day:) He was in Heaven at first seeing so many truck together. Dev let the boys crawl all over the trucks, put on the helmet and head phone. Then Conner pushed the buttons to turn the sirens on and Aadon was not impressed. He yelled at Conner and said, "Conner, no touching the noise, NO NOISE Conner"! Aadon wouldn't get back in the trucks till Devin assured him they would not go off again. When we left I asked Aadon if he had fun and he told me he did, but "he no like the noise and lights that Conner did"! HAHA they are so fun at this age.

Christmas is getting close!

OK so it has been a while since I posted again!! SO here are some things we have been up to lately. Our darling little Conner hates, I means HATES his crib, he started climbing out of it when he was about 11 months old! So we though that we would just turn it into the toddler bed so that he would not hurt himself! He does do much better now that he can come and go as he pleases, Its so funny/annoying in the middle of the night if he wakes up all you hear is crying and little feet running on the tile! I know that one of these days we will miss this stage, but that day is not here yet!!!

THANKSGIVING 2008

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with my mom's family in Mesa. It was fun seeing family that we don't see very often. We have so much to be thankful, we are healthy and we are together and not a whole lot else matter. Thanks to the Robinson Family for letting us stay with them in the BEAUTIFUL home.

PUTTING UP THE TREE

I was so excited this year to put up the tree and have Conner help! Lets just say it was a headache ha ha, my perfect little tree is only decorated from the middle up. Seems that some one in our family can't keep their little fingers off all the GLASS balls. Oh Conner is always into something!

NEXT ON THE HOLIDAY LIST... SANTA!

We decided to take Conner to Woodland lake park to see Santa. It was a LONG COLD line but Conner was pretty Patience, He was so entertained by all the people, the singing and the lady with the darn DOG! But after waiting in line for almost 2 hours he was tired and not in the mood for Santa. He did sit on his lap but that was about it! Oh well at least he didn't cry:)

AND THEN THERE IS NURSERY!!! YEAH

All I have to say is that 18months is way to long for nursery! Conner started walking about 9-10 months and has been on the go every since, so for the last 8 months Conner and I just cruse the halls. He did so good for is 1st nursery and colored his little paper... so cute! The best part about the hole nursery thing is when I went to get him he gave me a HUGE hug. For as hipper as he is, he is still just the sweetest,cuddliest kid.

This week LSFD did another live burn. These are so fun to go and watch. I as a little late getting there so I didn't get hardly any pictures. Devin got to pump the truck so we got to stay with him most of the time.

A few weeks ago we took Conner to the Phoenix Zoo. Conners favorite animals where the pigeons in the parking lot, the Parrots(I'm guessing cause they are loud) and the goats at the petting zoo. Devin chased the pigeon with Conner in the stroller and the birds just stayed a little in front, Conner thought it was the funnest thing he has ever seen. The weather was perfect and Conner was really good. He fell asleep before we saw the Lions and the Zebras but over all we all had a good time.

hAlLoWeEn! 2008

We Had such a busy Oct, we didn't carve our pumpkins till Halloween day, but it worked out perfect cause the weather was so beautiful. Conner really didn't like cleaning the pumpkin out he preferred taking all the little knives and carving stuff and scattering it around the yard. Afterwards we went to Taylor and saw all the grandparents, then Conner and his cousins went to a trunk or treat, then we had a party at LSFD, Conner loved the bean bag game. When ever the older kids would throw them through the whole he would hurry and get them so he could throw them too! He came home with a tone of candy and 10 gold fish for the pond.

Conner and I also go to fly to Utah and see Amber, Glenn and Tyce! It was a really fast short trip but I am so glad that we got to go. We had a blast and can't wait till we can do it again! Amber has the cutest house and lives by an amazing craft store, its kinda like poppies but way more affordable! I was a little nervous when I pulled up to Taylor Airport and saw the plan we would be flying in... Needless to say Jarod was an amazing pilot and got us home safely, Thanks Amber for having us

And Last but not least Devin and I took a day and just spent it together, Devin has never been to the Grand Canyon so we took a drive to see it! It was alot of fun just spending the day together and we really needed it! Afterwards we went back into Flag and ate and did some shopping. A BIG thanks to my wonderful sister in laws, Brette, Shay and Mckenzi and my mother in law for taking such good care of Conner, spoiling him rotten and giving him his 1st Happy Meal. You guys are awesome!

Good bye Wisdom Teeth

On Thursday I went and had my wisdom teeth removed, The whole thing wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The shots where the worst and the goofy gas was amazing haha. Devin went with me and stayed in the room the whole time. As they were working on my teeth I could hear them talking and I knew what was going on but I just couldn't get my body to corporate with my mind. I can't remember what they said but I remember starting to laugh and I just couldn't stop and then I started snorting uncontrollable. In my mind I was telling my self to stop, but I just couldn't. Needless to say the dentist turned down the goofy gas! HAHA Devin got a huge kick out of the whole thing! My face is really swollen and my wonderful brother in law Aaron thinks I look like John McCain, gotta love honesty! But the upside to all this is all the milk shakes and being waited on hand and foot. Thanks Devin for always humoring me, your the best!

The Great Out Doors

Over the weekend we went up to greens peak to camp. I love this time of year when all the leaves change colors! We enjoyed all the normal camp stuff. Cobbler, great food, four wheeler rides, camp smoke, shooting guns, good visits, card games(yes I married into a family that cheats at cards more than I do:-)) and my new favorite thing, squirrel hunting( who knew that it could be so fun!) and lots of relaxing! Devin and I missed place the keys to our camper and spent a few hours looking for them and a drive back up to the top of greens peak to make sure they didn't get kicked out! After all the searching we found them on the hook in the trailer where they belonged!!! Conner's little coat was hiding them haha gotta love that! Then we had a blow out on our trailer on the way home. But the boys had it fixed in no time. Thanks every body for the fun!

One more thing, I know this post is getting so long but hey when you only post once a month... Conner had his first ER visit a couple of Sundays ago. I was out in the yard feeding the fish and all of a sudden he starts crying. When I got over to him blood was coming out of his toe and he had a huge blood blister on the bottom of his toe. Devin was already over in the ER so I drove the 1000 feet to the hospital to let Dev look at it. Needless to say him and all the nursers thought he needed to be checked out. I was think "I am not taking Conner to the ER for a blood blister" so I started to leave and Devin was standing at the the glass doors with disgusted look on his face, so I thought well I'll just call Conner's pediatrician. Needless to say the Doc thought I should take him in for xrays and stuff. So I unbuckled Conner and took him in. Devin was really getting upset with me at this point I believe he said something like this, "oh you'll bring him in when the Doc tells you to but you wont when I do" haha anyways Conner had xrays and they decided that he may have a fracture on his toe but it was to swollen to see, his growth plates where shifted, his big toe nail may fall off and the blood blister on the bottom of his toe will heal on its own. So they taped his little toes up sent us with some antibiotics and home we came. By that night he was walking and jumping around like normal! Thank heavens!

Devin had his 25th Birthday last week. We had a BBQ at our house with some friends and family with a ton of food! Devins big gift this year was a .40 pistol, (I think that's what its called:)) Devin's parents were bringing it to the party, so the only present that I had at our house for him was a box of bullets and of course I couldn't let him open those until he got the gun. Needless to say it drove him nuts all day not to be able to open "his" birthday gift!

Also we are still working on the backyard the never ending project. But our pond is done!!!!! YEAH, We have the plants planted all the rocks around the pond, the waterfall going and the fish in! For some reason the little fish keep dieing. The grass has some bare spots but its coming in and we couldn't be more excited!!!!

August is Gone

I can't believe that summer is already over. I love the long day hot days and all the outdoor fun, Here are some pictures of our August days. We got Conners one year pictures, he was so tired and grumpy but some of them did turn out cute! We took another trip down to Mexico. The water was perfect! We spent the days on the beach playing in the sand and water, riding jets skies, making cobbler and letting off fire works and just relaxing. I love Mexico!
Conner found that he loves corn on the cob. Its really entertaining to watch him eat it. And last but not least we are still working on the back yard, we got the pond and the waterfall in and the grass planted. I can't believe how fast its growing it already ready to be mowed! We are really going to enjoy our backyard next summer! Hope everyone else had a great summer!

Professional Fire Fighter or Pyro

Ok so we have been working on our back yard all summer. We finally put up our privacy fence, put in the sprinkler system, planted grass and just cleaned up the yard a ton! We had a huge pile of trees weeds and other stuff to burn. I kept telling Dev that we need to burn it before we put in the VINYL fence up. And this is what he would say to me, "dear I'm a fire fighter, trust me its fine" I did how ever talk him into hauling some of it off. So when the day came to burn it all he took his GAS can and little liter out there and lit the pile on firer and most of HIS leg hairs! Our vinyl fence started to melt, so my job for the day about 6 hours or so was to water down the fence! The pile burned for 2 days and a week later when it started raining it begun smoking again, so under all the ash its still hot! And as for Devin's leg hair, he ended up shaving from his knees down. Oh well at least the yard looks better:)

A couple of weeks ago Amber was in town, She just had her sweet little Tyce in June. It was so fun to get together with Amber and Sheridan and catch up on everything and to laugh about the "old days" We always have so much fun together! We tried to get some pictures with our kids but it didn't work out so well. Trying to get a newborn, a 6 month old and a 1 year old to cooperate is HARD! Thanks girls for the fun! a bit of an update!

Well over the 4th of July weekend they Whole Hunt Family was able to get together. It was cool to see everyone and get pictures together, we haven't done that for about 13 years!

After ward we went to the show low fire works, Devin was covering for Show Low fire since they sets off the fire works, they had a huge BBQ, They got a call but made it back right before the fire works. Conner wasn't to sure what to think of the Fire works they would go off and he would watch them and then look at us, like what are those, we just kept clapping and saying yahhhh, He decided they were boring and slept through most of them!

Then the following night we went to the Taylor Fire works, It was so funny Conner and Aaden where playing on the grass together, when the light s went off Conner just kept playing then all of a sudden the first fire work went off and Conner frozen momentarily and then leaped into our arms. Aaden scrambled under the blanket and said, "mommy me scared!" It was so cute, Both boys were asleep with in the first 5 minutes!

Happy 4th of July every one!!!!

Over the past 2 weeks we have been watching Kenz play all stars, Their team won district in Taylor and are now playing for state in Cottonwood. The girls have been doing really good, Kenz has been sick and throwing up but she still gets out there and plays... what a trooper! Tomorrow they play for championship if they win its on to Nationals in Vancouver WA!!!! I tried to add a slide show but it keeps giving me a HTML error!

Devin and I also had our 5 year anniversary. He has been out on a wild land assignment in CA for 8 days and made it home the day of our anniversary! The last 5 years have flown by I'm so grateful for the amazing husband and father Devin is. Love you babe!

And last of all here are some fire pictures from CA. Devin brought back a pine cone that is over 17 inches long! It is the biggest pine cone I've ever seen! Here is Devin with the crew he went with Dennis, Devin, Kerry and Craig

Called to serve

Over the past week we have spent a lot of time with Devins Grandma and Grandpa West, They have been called to serve a mission in the Philippians. We are all so excited for them and grateful for the wonderful example they always set for us! This is a picture of our last good bye to them as the get ready to head to security. I wish I had pictures of are ride to the airport. They Whole family decided to see them off at the airport. So that means that we had a lot of cars following each other, it was so funny to see everyone try to make it throw all the lights and keep up! When we left Dave and Raelynns house it reminded me of the movie, Home Alone, when they all wake up late an rush out the door! That was us:-) Thanks again to Dave and Raelynn for letting us crash your house, we had so much fun visiting, shipping and swimming! And to Austin for the great breakfast!

Memorial Weekend

First off Congratulations to Shay. She graduated from SHS on Friday night. We had a dinner for her and opened gifts and then off to watch her grad. I was so glad that they moved it inside the gym! I was planning on sitting in the truck, freezing my butt off with a little one is just not what I call fun. We are so proud of Shay, not only did she graduate high school but she will also have her Associates Degree at the end of this summer. Her plan for now I think is to go into nursing or something medical! She will also be testing for her EMT sometime this month!

After the Graduation we headed out toward Heber and went camping with the Hunt Family! I am a warm weather camper, but even though it was a little cold we still all had a great time. A lot of the Hunt Family was there so it was fun to see aunts and cousins I dont get to see often. We spent the day riding quads, playing horse shoes and of course eating!

Hair Cut

Conner finally got a hair cut. For a little Blondie he sure had a lot of hair. Devin's Grandma Wood cut it for us and did such a good job. To keep him still we just kept giving him food. He did pretty good until she tried to cut around his ears, he would reach his hand up and push the scissors away. Here are before and after pictures. Over the weekend we made a quick trip for 4 days to Disneyland with the Hunt Family. Conner had a lot of fun with all his cousins. It was so fun to watch him on the rides. I think his favorite was one of the monster inc rides. It was kind of a bumber cause he was asleep when we went to Toon Town so he missed out on seeing all the characters, but we was awake in adventure land and saw Pooh, Tiger and Eor. And he loved them he just kept staring up at them and flapping his arms in excitement. All in all we had a great time, but next time we are going to go longer. It just to hard to try and see everything in 2 days with so many kids. My feet were killing! Devin got to see Huntington Beach for the first time and he just wanted to stay and play in the water. On the plane ride home I think we may have had a 1st time pilot. From take off to landing it was a ride! Thanks for all the fun everyone.

We are back from Mexico, And I'm so ready to go back. We got home late Sunday night and the wind was blowing and it is freezing. We got to enjoy 9 warm days on the beaches of rocky Point. We had a lot of fun! Conner loved the sand, the first day all he wanted to do was eat it, so finally we let him. After two handfuls he decide sand was more fun to play in than eat! We all dragged our 5th wheels down and stayed right on the beach. I was not overly excited to be stying in the campers but it was so much fun, I can't wait till next year. We had some amazing food. The fresh shrimp and tortillas are so good! I have never ate so many tortillas. We road the banana boats and let me tell you I was the champion at falling off, although Brette was pretty close to beating me! Devin bought a skim board and it was fun watching every body try to ride it. We road 4 wheelers, shopped, ate, pool hoped, let off fire works and just relaxed. Thanks everyone for the fun Times!

we went down to mesa for a few days and the weather is so nice. We are going to Mexico so I bough Conner a life jacket and wanted to try it out to make sure that it fits him good. when I put it on him, his face was all smashed, he looked up at me with an expression like "now what mom" he really didn't know what to think of his life jacket. He then rolled rover and just laid down and got the biggest grin on his face! Conner also got a new car seat, He loved being able to see us in the front seat. He look like a giant in his other car seat and so little in this one! This time of year makes me want to move back to mesa so bad! I love the heat! We are so ready for summer!!!

Road Trip?

OK, So Devin has been wanting a new truck for a while. Since November he has been searching the Internet and driving me crazy. Well on Friday he was at work and called me and said, "I found it" , then he said,"its in Georgia" What!!!! Needless to say we left Saturday morning and drove 1,850 miles. We went through 8 states and dodge tornado's the whole way. We made it in two days. Conner was such a little trooper. When got to the motels at night he was a wild man, glad to be out of the car seat! On the way home we took our time. We went to 3 different Hard Rocks, The Georgia Aquarium (awesome), Atlanta Olympic Park, Saw the home towns of Garth Brooks, Carry Underwood and Elvis Presley, Crossed over the Mississippi River, Saw the Largest cross in the Western Hemisphere(wow high lite of our trip! :)). Conner learned to clap his hands when we said yea and he decide that he loved red vines! We got to see the after maths of several tornado's, which was really cool! Total round trip was just under 3,800 miles. I asked Devin if it was worth it and he said that he would do it again! If any one is thinking of a road trip I recommend a navigator. I now agree with Traci they are the greatest thing every. One thing about the east coast it was green and warm. WE are ready for summer!

Finally we have snow! Conner thought that it was pretty cool! We dressed him in his Eskimo outfit and took him outside just long enough to make a snow angel. His arms natural stick straight out in his snow suite, it reminds us of the Christmas Story Kid! After playing in the snow it was inside to warm up by the fire. We Love the snow and look forward to snowboard season! LET IT SNOW!!!!

Well I thought that it would be more fun to do

6 FACTS about us so here they are...

1. Devin and I both had huge crushed on each other in high school. We tried the dating thing once and it didn't go to well. After that we acted like we hated each other, me, I was to hurt, and Devin was to mad to admit that we still liked each other. The funny thing is that when ever I needed anything I always called Devin and he was ALWAYS there! None of our friend knew, Devin told his friends that I was a.... (you fill in the blank) and I told mine that he was a jerk.

2. Devin loves to tinker... Even when its not broke he thinks he needs to"fix"it! He loves to find things that need to be improved. Like just today, he rearranged our storage compartments in our 5Th wheel and made a laundry soot. Yep I have a laundry soot in my camper! Lucky I know :)

3. I'm a tight wad. I hate spending money. At fast food restaurants I only buy off the dollar menu. And I still think that I am getting ripped off. Devin says that when i fart penny's fall out of my butt!!!! I now know why I am tight with money, its because Devin is so lose. He thinks that he is Mr. money bags. Its a good balance:)

4. Devin has a sock feddish. Yep a sock feddish. I know every time I send him to walmart he'll come home with a new pair of socks. The other day he came home with 20 pairs. He claimed that they were all on sale and he got a great deal. It makes me laugh but he takes his socks very serious. He even used part of his clothing allowance from the station to buy socks. 5 pair of socks for 75 bucks!

5. I love to be a mom. Its honestly the best thing in the world. I love to sleep in and be waited on, but Conner doesn't see the need for that! When he wakes up at 6:30 in the morning with a huge smile, just waiting for the day to start it makes me so happy! I love every minute of being his mom.

6. Devin and I love to go on vacation. Most of the time its last minute. Last year on Easter weekend we had a couple of days off, so we thought we would go to the valley to do some shopping. Well we never made it to the mall. Instead we drove into Sky Harbor and went to the 1st ticket counter we saw and bought plan tickets for the 1st plan that was taking off! By that afternoon we were on the beach. We had to go buy clothes cause we just thought we'd be gone for the day! It was one of the funnest vacations we've had.

The Jeep

OK So this is Devin's new pride and joy! He has been after his dad for years and years to give him this jeep.... and now its his! As far as we know the story with the jeep started about 25 years ago or so. Devin's Grandpa, Lito gave it to Clay when he received his eagle scout when he was about 16. Devin and I have been together for 4 1/2 years and I have heard about this jeep monthly sometime weekly... so we are both happy that its now his! Devin's Grandma Wood told us this story on Sunday and informed Dev that he can't sell it, he must fix it and give it to Conner when he is 16. That was one of the stipulations Clay also gave Devin. So that is what Devin is planning. I have to tell you all that Devin has already got this thing running. Its amazing what a new battery, a little tinkering and GAS can do!We took it for a spin last night and had a lot of fun. The last time this jeep was driven was when Devin asked me to marry him. So we are looking forward to restoring the jeep and passing it down to Conner. Any donations will gladly be accepted!$!$! J/K

Aloha. We just returned from the Beautiful islands of Hawaii. We were lucky to get to see two of the Islands, Oahu and Kaui. My favorite was Kaui. It is so laid back and relaxing I would move there in a heart beat. Everything is so green and thick! We took a helicopter ride over Kaui and there are so many waterfalls and huge green mountains, we saw the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Its not as big as AZ Grand Canyon but I thought that it was more breath taking. In Kaui we spent most of our time on the beach, snorkeling, boogie boarding, sleeping and sun burning! Conner and I didn't get to burnt we spent most of the time under an umbrella. I have come to except that I don't tan unlike my dark sisters, I just burn! Devin loves to boogie board! Just loves it! It was cool the day we arrived "wave season" started, so needless to say Dev and Aaron spent most of the time "catching waves". We took a hike to Queens Bath and got attacked by mosquitoes but the view was worth it!
We also went to the "end of the road" on the north side and watched an awesome Hawaiian sunset. While we were on Oahu we did the whole tourist thing. You know where you drive around all smashed together in a van and getting lost! Well we did manage to finally find some of the tourist destinations. We went to Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, The Polynesian Center, the Hawaii Temple (it is so pretty) and we saw the famous Waikiki Beach along with thousands of other people! One of our favorite things in Honolulu was the amazing $2.99 breakfast that my dad found for us! Thanks dad! Hawaii was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back. Hope you enjoy the pictures! Mahalo

Labor Day

Over Labor Day weekend we went on anther camping trip. We had a lot of fun! We shot guns, rode 4-wheels, played mexican train and just relaxed! We also played a game of wiffle ball, that turned into dodge ball. We spent most of the time dodging kids or cow pies! But it was way fun. We ate way to much and just enjoyed everyone! We are defiantly going to have to do it again!

Conner had his fist camping trip at 7 weeks old! He loved being outside all day. He really enjoyed riding on the 4-wheeler with dad. Devin would take him on a ride and Conner would be out, it was the best baby putter to sleeper ever! We camped with Rayna and Aaron, Todd and Clarissa Baldwin and Jared and Jess Farnsworth. We all have little boys and no girls. We all had a great time and ate way to much. Enjoy the slide show! 8.2.2007

Welcome to our family blog. We are new to the whole blogging thing, but I think that it is a wonderful way to keep up with family and friends. Devin and I have been married for 4 years and have an adorable 2 month old boy, named Conner.

As most of you know Devin and I have been building our house. It took us almost 2 years to finish it and move in. We are so happy to finally be out of our 20ft 5Th wheel. Living in such close quarters wasn't as bad as most would think! We really learned to work together and love each other so much more. Although I wouldn't be in any hurry to move back into it! I love our home.

Devin has been busier then every. He is working for Lakeside Fire Department and has been full time for the past 1 1/2 years. I love to tease him when he tells me he's headed to work, I laugh and say "don't you mean your headed off to hang out with your friends?" He loves his job. On his days off he works with GK Development and installs garage doors for himself in his spare time.. which isn't much! In January he was accepted into the Paramedic program. He has been working and studying so hard and is really do well in his class. He has finished most of his clinical hours. One of the things he had to do for his clinicals was deliever a baby. So he got to deliever Conner... with the Dr watching over his shoulder of course! He did a great Job. In the end of November he we be completely finished with the program. And we can't wait to have him back!

Conner was born on June 11 2007 weighing in at 7lbs. 10 oz and measuring 20.5 inches long. I thought that he was a big boy! He was born with a full head of blond hair and big beautiful blue eyes. Yep he looks just like his daddy! The first week that Conner was home I had him on the floor on his blanket on his tummy, I was in the kitchen making dinner. When I check up on him he was on his back. At first I was so excited and amazed at my little boy for rolling over, but then I thought theres no way Devin must be messing with me. But Conner did in fact roll himself over, about an hour later he did it again and we both got to see it! He is so strong and is always learning new things. We are so happy and in love with him. We're just not sure how we every lived with out him!

As for me, I am loving every minute of being a mom! He is so much fun. For such a little guy he sure takes up a lot of room. He has already established that he is the boss and that we run on his time schedule. I still work at Mountain Pediatrics when they need a fill in. Dr. T is such a wonderful person. He turned one of the exam rooms into a nursery so that I can take Conner with me. I am so lucky to have such a great employer and Doctor! I still love to scrapbook, read and take long naps in my spare time. I have almost taught Conner the beauty of sleeping in... Almost!

Everything is going well with our family and we are so grateful for everything that we have been blessed with and can't wait to see what the future will bring for our family. We hope that everything is well with all of you and we hope that more of you will start blogging so we can keep up with our family and friends!
